Euro-Pro Water Filtration Vacuum

Does the Euro-Pro Water Filtration Vacuum work?

Water filter vacuum cleaners are not new. They've been around for quite awhile and when coupled with a HEPA filtration system, it makes for an almost unbeatable combination.

Water vacuum cleaners are designed to catch dirt using water. While the typical vacuum cleaner uses a bag, cup or other container to catch dirt, a water filter vacuum cleaner uses a shallow reservoir of water to trap dirt. The claim is that this works better because there is no bag to cause loss of suction.

There are two predominate lines of vacuum cleaners with water filters. The Euro-Pro and the Rainbow E2 series. Both do a fine job as a vacuum and both also use water to capture the dirt before exhausting the air back into your home.

The water filtration system doesnt use the regular technology of filters, nor are they steam vacuums like the hoover steam vacuum system. Instead, these units use water to capture the dirt in the exhaust air.

Although there is no question that water vacuum cleaners will remove the dirt in the exhaust air better and even have better performance than typical bag vacuums. It's unclear however if they are actually better than the newer cyclonic, bagless, HEPA filtration units on the market today.

Even if the euro-pro water filtration vacuum or another water vacuum cleaner is actually somewhat better, I think the fact that I need to deal with dirty water is a major negative. The thought of having to empty out and deal with the water aspect of a water filter vacuum cleaner leaves me all wet and running to check out higher quality cyclonic vacuum cleaners.
