Product Reviews of a Vacuum Cleaner should start here

When doing any product reviews, and especially writing a report on vacuum cleaners, it's important to segment out certain features that are noteworthy. One of the more important decisions on selecting the right vacuum cleaner is to find the product based on reviews and comparisons that have the features most important to you.

One of those important considerations in any vacuum cleaner product review has to be the decision if a disposable bag or a bagless designed vacuum cleaner is important.

At first glance, many product reviews simply lump all vacuums together or break them out on price.

The differences between a bag vs. bagless vacuum cleaner however are important enough for you to consider as a major reason to select on or the other style.

Understand that both work and have their positives and negatives as we'll see in the review below. In any event, here's a few things to help you pick which vacuum technology you desire.

1. A bag design vacuum cleaner holds more dirt and needs emptying less. A bagless or cyclonic design unit holds much less dirt and needs emptied almost after every house vacuuming.

2. A bagless designed vacuum cleaner is usually faster and easier to empty. Bagless vacuums have the dirt container easily accessible with a usually click of a button. Click the button, remove the dirt cup, take it to the trash, click another button and the container drops the dirt into the trash. In our review of the different styles, it was faster to empty the bagless than remove the filled bag and replace it with a new one in a bag vacuum. See more reviews on bagless vacuum cleaners here.

The bag vacuum needs to have a cover removed, then the bag can be replaced with a new one. Note that most vacuums do NOT require the use of tools to replace the vacuum cleaner bag.

In vacuum cleaner product comparisons of this feature, it took substantially longer to remove an old bag and replace with a new one than it did to click out the bagless dirt container, empty it and re install it back onto the vacuum cleaner. By longer, we mean a few minutes difference. It's not much but it is a difference.

3. A bag vacuum uses consumable items. When you change the bag, you replace it with another new bag. This means some added costs because you need to buy a new bag for every change. A bagless design typically as a plastic cup or container that captures and holds the dirt in the vacuum cleaner.

4. Bagless vacuum cleaners maintain their suction throughout the vacuuming cycle. As a vacuum bag fills with dirt, it fills microscopic breathing holes in the bag and this lowers the suctioning power of the unit. So as the bag fills with dirt, you lose suction.

5. When everything else is equal in vacuum cleaners of similar quality, a bagless vacuum cleaner will cost a little more. Not so much that it's enough to get the kids new school clothes but enough for a lunch for them. product Reviewers indicate in many reports that the difference in price is under 50 dollars but is dropping quickly as the bagless design becomes more popular.

So there you have it, the first product reviews for vacuum cleaner dirt collecting design. It's an important feature that should help you decide what type of vacuuming product you want to own. For our house, we recently went with a bagless design because we have a lot of people and kids will vacuum even if they have no suction. The bagless vacuum cleaner product puts an end to this problem
