Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Get an Upright Vacuum Cleaner Because It's Better Than Beating Your Carpets by Hand

It seems like keeping dirt at bay is a never-ending battle throughout our life. We not only need to keep our clothes and eating utensils clean, but also keep our house free from as much dirt as possible. It's no secret that much of the dust in our homes are cause from outside air and what we track indoors.

Every movement or action seems to be a special invitation for dirt to come live with us. An upright vacuum cleaner is our first line of defense in keeping our house clean. Vacuuming is one of those chores that can really apply pressure to our backs and shoulders, but needs to be done on a constant basis. I actually prefer on upright vacuum cleaner only because it's faster and easier to use along with less bending necessary to completely vacuum the house

The Hoover vacuum cleaner company back about 70 years ago, actually the first coined the term upright vacuum cleaner. Before that time, all vacuums were of the canister type design, which continues to be very popular even today. The upright vacuum was an almost instant success once people realize the ease of moving an upright, around a home in relation to lugging the canister with the vacuum hose.

The easy-to-use upright vacuum cleaner allows the user to maintain a relatively straight posture while still doing a good cleaning. One major benefit of the upright vacuum, is that they're great for large areas. To be fair, you need to do a vacuum cleaner comparison unless you know what you like in the way of features and design.

The upright vacuum cleaner is typically made light weight for ease of handling. Although it's on wheels, many designs are careful to limit the weight to protect the users shoulders and our muscles. It would be no good if you had a great upright vacuum cleaner that was so heavy it couldn't be carried up the stairs!

The only major negative to an upright vacuum in relation to the canister design is in the cord handling mechanism. Many canister vacuums, use a retractable cord that keeps it organized an out-of-the-way. Unfortunately, that upright vacuum cleaner doesn't have this feature.

In closing, just remember that all things being equal, the upright vacuum cleaner is simply easier to use. There is no assembly of the motorized unit to the hose to the carpet cleaning want to the brush as there is with the canister vacuum. Add this to the larger dirt holding vacuum cleaner bag capacity, and the quicker and easier to use design, and you have a winning combination
