Dyson Vacuum Rating from a new User

We recently replaced out last Riccar vacuum cleaner with a new Dyson animal and couldn't be more happy. We would rate is superb in all the characteristics that make for a great vacuum.

We first started out 20+ years ago buying just on price. We could get the cheapest vacuums we could find then replace them almost on a yearly basis because they broke or quit working. Service was laughable and just wasn't worth the time.

We picked the Dyson dc 14 animal after checking out the Dyson ball dc vacuum and the dc 07 model. We liked the DC14 mainly for the wider collection points on the vacuum brush head. It allows for more suction on the carpet and can pick up biggest pieces of dirt.

The Dyson dc14 is heavier than any of the other uprights considered or we have owned. This isn't a big deal however because the unit has large wheels in the back to make running it over the carpet a snap.

Rating Dyson vacuums is a lot like trying to pick the greatest product from a line up of all high quality vacuums. The fact is, many of the Dyson vacuum cleaner lines are designed with features based on an individual customers needs. Some come with powered hand brushes, others with a longer warranty, but all the dc14 line is built off the same chassis as is the Dyson ball dc vacuum cleaner line.

I was prepared to get a dyson vacuum refurbished but was able to snap a discount from the local linen store that lowered the price by over 20%!

Performance of the dc14 is absolutely astonishing. We cleaned a room with our old carpet then went back over it with the Dyson dc 14 vacuum cleaner. The amount of dirt and hair it collected was amazing especially on a just cleaned carpet.

The only thing we've noticed about the Dyson dc 14 when rating it is the suction is actually to great if you have rugs. We have several large rugs in our home and the dc14 animal pulls the rug up so much that it can get caught if not careful.

We decided to go with the Dyson dc 14 animal vacuum mainly because it had the features we were looking for. The Dyson ball dc vacuum part of the DC15 series is nice and the ball feature moves around furniture nice. But like an expensive sports car, you always seem to be driving it even when going straight.

Overall the Dyson Vacuum rating we give is nothing but positive. The DC14 animal vacuum cleaner is a marvel in vacuuming technology and get the job done quickly and easily. It's not like you mothers vacuum!

The difference in price is not great, usually under 100 dollars
