A Problem with the Dyson Upright Vacuum Review ?

Dyson vacum cleaners are some of the most reviewed and talked about vacuuming systems on the web today. This is no doubt caused by the root cyclonic design of the Dyson dc15, dc14 and all the models. The cyclonic design keeps suction power at maximum efficiency which means you don't lose suction when cleaning your carpets and floors.

Still, a typical Dyson vacuum cleaner review focuses on the benefits of the great design, fast cleaning capability due to the maximum suction capability, ease of emptying the collected dirt, etc.

I want to be up front here and state that I own a Dyson dc14 animal vacuum cleaner and couldn't be happier with the performance. The Dyson dc14 and dc15 are basically the same vacuum cleaner platform with the largest difference being the dc15 is designed on a ball for better handling around curves [smile] So expect a few interesting perspectives from this
review of the Dyson line of vacuums.

The dc14 and dc15 animal upright vacuum is a great piece of equipment. It's fast, easy to use and the vacuuming simply cannot be beaten. The biggest advantage to the Dyson technology is that you don't lose suction even as you collect dirt. This is important because if you're using a bag vacuum now, as it fills, you start to lose suction capability. This simply means that you're doing the work of vacuuming just not getting all the dirt you can.

A review of the Dyson line should also include the dc07 model. This is a great starter machine that is built with the same technology but with a slightly smaller opening for dirt collection and capturing. If you don't have serious traffic and dirt issues in your home, the dc07 al floors model would be more than satisfcatory. It has all the great features of the extendable want for stairs etc.

Anyway, there are 2 other things I want to say good about the Dyson designed machines before I get to my complaint.

1. The in the handle want/hose design. This is probably one of the nicest features going. Imagine an onboard full length vacuum hose and extension wand. The Dyson dc15 animal has a detachable handle that can be used as a cleaning wand. The hose is extendable and with the click of a button, you have a full hose and cleaning wand at your disposal.

2. Large Wheels. These are on the DC14 ad the DC15 has the ball steering. Because these vacuum cleaners are a little on the heavy side, you might think they're could be more difficult to maneuver. The Dyson dc15 animal upright vacuum is a snap because the ball design allows for maximum movement around stationary furniture and family members. [smile] The DC14 uses large wheels that make it much easier to move about than the older style

Now for the complaint...

Emptying the dc15 animal vacum and all vacuum cleaners for that matter is literally a snap. It's click remove the plastic dirt container click above a trash can and the unit is emptied.

As a bagless upright vacuum, the Dyson animal uses cyclonic action to spin the dirt and separate it from the air and exhaust of the unit. I have kids and the occasional LEGO and or plastic toy or jewelry bead can get vacuumed up into the machine.

These hard plastic parts sound hit the sides of the plastic dirt collection container making one heck of a racket. The good news it that the Dyson has so far never clogged nor has it failed to continue to pick up even with the occasional Lego building block and toy soldier.

So should you buy a Dyson dc15 animal or even a total clean? If quality and reliability are important to you, then the Dyson line of vacuum cleaners represent a good value in a long lasting product.... even if vacuuming toys makes a lot of noise! LOL
